How to Decorate Your Smart Phone Using Your Inkjet Printer

Saturday, January 29th, 2011

Charms, covers, crystals and crochet – these are popular ideas when it comes to decorating your Smart Phone (or any other cell phone for that matter). Instead of spending more on these decorative ideas, why not use your own inkjet printer? Here are a few tips to consider.

1. Think of how you want your smart phone to look like. Your choice of mobile phone often reflects who you are and what your lifestyle is. Why not prep up your phone with the design that you think suits your character best? You can always have a concept in mind and from there you can create a design that will make your smart phone look better.

2. Use compatible printer software. Certain inkjet printers require compatible software to create the design you want for your smart phone. For instance, PromoJet Solvent Inkjet Printer would require that you have an Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Photoshop or CorelDraw. You can always ask your inkjet printer provider should you have queries regarding this aspect.

3. Choose from simple to complex designs whichever you wish. You can always consider printing your name on an inkjet printer with a picture of you on top of it. Use sticker paper to make the work easier when you need to place the output on your smart phone. You may also consider using different sticker paper colors to make your phone stand out with the design you have chosen. Mix and match that color with your phone’s shade. This concept can replace the readymade peel-and-stick ideas to decorate your phone.

There are a few tips to consider in here too. You must take note that the peel-and-stick process is not that easy. Make sure you have measured the area where you will place the design later on. That way, you will not keep on making designs and printing them only to throw them in the garbage. Make up your mind as to the design you want on your smart phone as well.

Once you are done printing out your object, then you are ready to stick them on your smart phone. One word of advice here: You should stick the label or the design slowly but surely. Otherwise, your effort will be put to waste.

4. Combine the design produced by your inkjet printer with smart phone accessories offered in the market. Do you want to use charms that will hang on your smart phone? Personalize these charms by printing your name through your inkjet printer and sticking your initials on each bead. You can also print phrases or words which you think will make your phone look smarter.

These are a few tips to take note of when you want to decorate your smart phone using your inkjet printer. Save as much resources as you can during the printing process.

4 Steps in Printer Software Installation

Wednesday, February 17th, 2010

Do you think you can use a printer just after you bought it without reading over some instructions on how to install it in your PCs? Well, you certainly can’t. You might just end up wasting paper if you haven’t followed the right printer installation procedure. In line with this, you must also give high regard to the printer software that comes with the printer package. Here are steps involved in the installation process:

1. Go through the printer manual. You can find instructions on how to install printer software using this manual. You might be instructed to uninstall an older software version before you install the new one. You might also be instructed to turn off the virus scanner.

2. Insert the software disk. Once the disk is read by your PC, a pop-up window appears. This contains all the files that have been read from the software disk. Using the readme.txt or the readme.doc file, you can begin reading the contents of the disk. Click on the executable file – usually represented by the .exe extension.

3. The printer is now ready for installation. This comes next after you have run the executable file. After which, the registration key will be required from you. You can find this on the box of the software CD.

4. You will have to reboot your computer. This is true every after installation of a new program or software. After this, you can run the software.

You may now check whether you’re printer is working or not after you’ve installed the printer software. Isn’t that all easy?
