Epson released a new line of WorkForce Pro that will help small businesses to save up to 50% on per page cost compared to color laser printers. The first on the line up is the Epson WorkForce Pro WP-4540, a high capacity multifunction that is ideal for small businesses that perform medium to high volume printing. It retails at $399.99 which makes the device one of today’s affordable 4-in-1 solutions.
WorkForce Pro-4540 Features
The WorkForce Pro-4540 lets you print, scan, copy, and fax. It has a print speed of 16 ppm in black and 11 ppm in color. It features 4800 x 1200 optimized dpi print resolution to deliver professional look documents. Operating the printer is easy with its 5.8-inch smart touch panel and 3.5-inch LCD. On the front of the multifunction are 2 paper trays that can hold 250 sheets each, and another 80-sheet folding tray is located behind the ADF. The 3 trays can hold different types of paper and media up to 8.5 x 44-inches. It uses 4-color DURABrite Ultra Pigment ink cartridges that can produce smudge, fade, and water resistant prints.
The 30-page automatic feeder on top of the scanner lid allows you to scan and thereby print your documents unattended. The WorkForce Pro-4540 also includes an automatic duplexing so you save on paper usage by up to 50%. Similarly, the multifunction offers several connectivity features, such as USB, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi connection.
The WorkForce Pro-4540 comes in a matte black finish with glossy panelling in some parts. When in storage mode, its dimension is 18 x 17 x 17 inches; expanding to about 18 x 26 x 18 inches when in printing mode. Printer ink cartridge replacement is easy by opening the front panel to load the ink reservoir.
